Well I found couple of interesting article during my blogging sessions. You can read them:

The first article pointed out that "On March 27, Khalid Abdul Samad became the first elected Muslim Member of Parliament to step into the Roman Catholic Church of the Divine Mercy since it was completed in 2005. The congregation gave him a standing ovation." This event of visiting a church is such a big deal for the Muslim community.
Think about it an MP from PAS has visited a church; PAS has always brought the ideology that it wants Malaysia to a strict Islamic country and the states under PAS have always adhered to strict Islamic Laws. I personally think that this event marks a new beginning in the progress and development of Malaysia. Muslims in Malaysia have always feared the other religions and limit their associations with it, this is primarily due to the lack of education and understanding of those religions IE Christianity.
What Malaysians don't seem to realise is that Christianity and Islam are similar in so many ways. People fear the unknown and I think the steps taken by the MP to visit the Church is an applaudable act.
I was educated overseas and during my school years we had to learn about all the major religions in the world and I think this is a good approach to reduce the 'gap' between Muslims and Non-Muslims. The same apply to the world, people do not understand Islam and they fear it because of certain unprecedented event such as September 11.
To promote progression and development in Malaysia, we must change our ways. We have to learn and understand the other religions being practiced in Malaysia. This will ensure our cultural and racial development. This development will ensure Malaysia to be peaceful and united. I am proud to be a Malaysian
